This is a photo I took in the spare of the moment of my 2 little ones feet, with a little cropping and colour editing this is how it ended up. The lovely verse was written by Suzie Huitt.

Make Termination for Medical Reasons Available in Ireland
I have just read a post from mama.ie called Incompatible with Life which is about the terrible treatment of women in Ireland who are
given the awful news that their unborn babies have a condition deemed
incompatible with life and that their babies will either die before they are
born or very shortly after birth. These women are given 2 choices either to “let
nature take its course” or to travel to UK to get the pregnancy terminated.
Irish legislation does not allow for these women to have
these terminations carried out in their own country, in their own hospital,
surrounded by their family and friends instead they have the extra trauma of
arranging travel to another country to have the procedure carried out and also
having to travel home after having the heart-breaking procedure done, when I’m
sure the only place they want to be is in their own home to grieve.
There is also a very good article in the Irish Times about a
group of women who have been through this awful ordeal and who have come together to start a campaign to Make Termination
for Medical Reasons Available in Ireland.
You can find the campaign to legalise termination services for medical reasons in Ireland on Facebook: Make Termination for Medical Reasons Available in Ireland. Or you can sign their petition on the link below
If you or someone you know have had or are thinking about termination for medical reasons, a new support group has been set up: http://www.

Hilarious!
I seen this on Facebook from Eumom.ie, and had just to share it!!
A man came home from work and found his 3 children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn around garden, The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and no sign of the dog, walking in the door, he found ...an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, the throw rug was against one wall, In the front room the TV was on loudly with the cartoon channel, the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door. He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls. As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel... She looked up at him, smiled and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?' She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world do I do all day?...
''Yes," was his incredulous reply..
She answered, 'Well, today I didn't do it.'

Adam’s Cloud -Before You Sleep -Benji Bennett
I was at the Baby & Pregnancy Fair in Dublin last weekend where I was
introduced to a lovely series of books called Adam’s Cloud. I was running around
in the last half hour of the show looking for something to take home for Jack
when I came across the stand of beautifully illustrated books.
A lovely lady called Jackie explained that her husband wrote
these books. As I read to Jack most
nights I thought these books would be perfect, after realising I had used all
my cash and they weren’t taking cards, then to be told the cash machine had run
out of money I thought I was going to have to leave it, but Jackie kindly gave
me a lovely book for free called “Before You Sleep” as she didn’t want us to miss out on the world
of Adam just because I had no cash on me and she said she was confident that
once I had one book that I would be hooked and would want to get the rest of
the series … and she was right!!!
The book “Before You Sleep” is a really lovely book to read
to your little one before they go to bed. Each page starts off “I love you much
more than…” and the verses are all rhyming taking you from making sandcastles
on a sunny beach to aliens in outer space, treasure hunting on a pirate
adventure, back in time to dinosaurs and cavemen, around the world on a jumbo
jet seeing the sights of the world to rollercoaster rides at a fairground,
finishing up with Adam in bed and his parents kissing him goodnight.
I actually read this book to Jack before fully reading the
tribute at the front of the book. I then went online and learned of the very sad
story of the author and his wife suddenly losing their 4 year old son Adam to
an aggressive brain tumour. Benji Bennett the author wrote these books as a
tribute to his son.
Reading “Before You Sleep” since learning the story of Adam
brings a lump to my throat, and hitting me with an awareness of the
overwhelming love I have for my children and how precious they are to me.
Whilst the adult reading the story is hit with the sentimental meaning behind
the story, to the child it’s just a story of love, sandcastles, aliens,
dinosaurs and fairground rides, with beautiful, bright, colourful pictures to match.
I am really looking forward to reading more books from Adams
Cloud and I can see a few people getting these for Christmas and birthday
presents this year too.
Other titles in the series are:
Adam’s Amazing Space Adventure
Adam Saves Christmas
Adam’s Pirate treasure
Adam’s World of Wonders
You can get more info on the books at www.adamscloud.com

What we did today...
Pasta Threading
The little man was running around the house going mad this morning, whilst I am trying to get the little lady fed. I wanted to give him something to calm him down for a while and something he can concentrate on so I grabbed what first came to hand; a lunchbox lid, playdough, wooden skewers (with the sharp bits cut off) stuck in the playdough and pasta tubes. It was a big hit and did the job he sat there for ages threading on the tubes and taking them off again and starting again. He even went back to it later on in the day aswell.
Growing Cress Hair
I got the inspiration for this off the Cow & Gate website they have loads of different activities you can do with your toddler. They have to plant cress seeds in empty eggshells with a face painted on, so when it grows it looks like hair. I remembered that I had an easter egg box with pieces of a funny face on and basket and thought I could do this on a slightly bigger scale, so here's what we did hopefully the cress will grow to look like hair. I have never grown anything in my life so hopefully this will turn out ok.. :-P
... and just some running around the Garden

Kilometres for Kids - Women's 10k Mini Marathon - Crumlin Children's Hospital
04 June 2012, Dublin City Centre
Well I have finally committed myself to participating in this years Women's Mini Marathon in Dublin. I couldn't not do it really. The hospital my little boy had his heart operation in when he was 4 months old are badly needing a new Cardiac Care unit and this is the hospitals main fundraising project this year, aswell as much needed improvements to the cancer ward.
I spent a good couple of hours yesterday setting up my sponsorship page, and already I have €70 raised, I am delighted with such a great start.
I better get the running shoes on !!! :-)

My Lil Baby Lucy 6 Months Old Today

Love this ....
Nursing Cover - bebe au lait - Sevilla
I often find when I am out around the shops (with my huge tandem pushchair) difficulty in finding somewhere available to breastfeed my 5 month old daughter (who refuses to take a bottle), I know I can just plonk myself down in a cafe and feed her there but I am a little self-conscious and especially as my daughter is a little wriggler, she'd end up exposing me to everyone :-) .. So I'd usually go try a changing/feeding room. But the other week I saw this woman sat down in the middle of the shopping centre wearing one of these lovely patterned nursing covers and it is completely discrete and I knew this is exactly what I needed so I decided to treat myself and got this one below from www.cleverclogs.ie and I have to say I am absolutely delighted with it, it has made such a big difference to me. Now I am able to sit down wherever and feed the little one as and when she demands with no more stress. I was just away for the weekend and we had a long car journey down, it was great we could just pull over and I was able to feed Lucy in the car, and we were out at this Wildlife Park and was able to feed at the picnic area without feeling self-conscious or awkward, so no more running around tyring to find a feeding room, or feeding in the toilets (which i hated but sometimes had no choice). The cover has a plastic strip in the neckline so I can see Lucy and have eye contact with her from the top and this gives her plenty of breathing space too. It was a little more expensive than I thought it would be but now I think it was definitely worth the money. :-)

Summertime in March
What lovely weather we have had the last few days. It was great to have the kids out playing in the garden, Lucy who is now 5 1/2 months is just about sitting up on her own and she loved sitting out the back playing with her toys and as for the little fella well you can't keep him in, he is just constantly running around the garden. So I thought what a great excuse to get the SLR camera out to get a few photos. I'm not clued up at all on using the SLR, I just put it on auto and point and shoot, but was rather chuffed how these photos came out.

Hi & Welcome x
After becoming addicted to reading other blogs and after a couple of attempts of trying to get my own blog going here I go again!! I am very new at using blogger, and I am not a writer, or photographer or have a speciality in anything except to being Mammy to 2 year old Jack and 6 month old Lucy. I love reading blogs and reading other mums ideas, tips and creations etc. So this blog isn't going to be about anything in particular, just a bit of everything and anything I think is worth mentioning, so hope you enjoy x
